Cyber Awareness
Campaign 1 :
Cyber Sangi
Situation/Problem :
Where there is hype among people reaching police in need, cases of cyber crimes are increasing also. Cyber crime is spreading its roots in our society, real quick, and somewhere it is due to the lack of awareness about it in people. Even after this people hesitate to reach out police, which clearly shows how negligible is the trust factor between common people and police.
Approach :
To build the trust factor and make people believe police as their friend, we used the trending concept of selfie. Selfie is normally taken with closed ones. So, we, along with Durg Police, ran a campaign to represent police as people’s friend – naming this campaign as “Cyber Sangi” – and ask people to take #selfie with them to show trust and awareness.
Flash mobs were conducted by Durg Police at few crowded places of the city. Around 58,000 selfies were taken by people with Cyber Sangi in one day and it trended a lot also.
Campaign 2 :
"I am your OTP, don't share with anyone."
Situation/Problem :
After analyzing people for 6 months through the Cyber Sangi campaign, Durg Police concluded that most of the Cyber Crimes take place by sharing OTP to un-authorized, un-known and fraud people.
Approach :
Our approach was to make people aware and realize how dangerous OTP sharing can be for people, how people can get trapped in fraud and money-laundering kind of crimes.
So, we, with Durg Police, came up with an idea of starting a campaign – “I Am Your OTP, Don’t Share With Anyone”.
Campaign 3 :
Cyber Lane Awareness Wall
Situation/Problem :
With increasing numbers of cyber crimes day by day, the concern for people was also increasing. So, instead of doing a campaign in every 6 months, Durg Police wanted to establish a concrete wall like thing which will make awareness communicate in between people throughout.
Approach :
After a lot of thoughts processing, we, with Durg Police, decided to bring the concept of “Laalach Ka Window” among people.
Whenever we open our phones, there is always a “Laalach Ka Window” lurking in the form of advertisements, messages etc. So, to make people, we, along with Durg Police came up with a concrete idea of building a “Cyber Lane Awarenss Wall”.
Central India’s first cyber lane was prepared by Durg Police in front of Nehru Art Gallery in Bhilai’s Civic Center, whose motive was to make people alert and aware of the crimes and frauds happening in the cyber world.
This campaign was conducted in two phases.
